Dolomite

Dolomite is a type of limestone. It is rich in magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate. It also contains several other minerals.
Dolomite is made of 60% calcium carbonate and 40% magnesium carbonate. However, it might also contain heavy metals, such as lead.
​
Dolomite is used as a source of magnesia (MgO), a feed additive for livestock, a sintering agent and flux in metal processing, and as an ingredient in the production of glass, bricks, and ceramics.

Limestone is a source of lime (calcium oxide), which is used in steel manufacturing, mining, paper production, water treatment and purification, and plastic production. Lime also has major applications in the manufacture of glass and in agriculture.
In building and decorative stones – Limestone has been used in construction since ancient times. Taj Mahal, the exquisite marble structure in Agra, India is an example of the usage of limestone in artistic accomplishments. Limestone is still being used in construction work in many ways.
